Illness Policy reminder

With sickness season starting, just a reminder on the Asotin-Anatone School District Illness Policy:

Illness: If your student has any illness symptoms contact the school office immediately to excuse your student.   
1.  Any fever over 99.1 please keep your student home. 
2. Must be FEVER FREE without medication for 24 hours as well as no vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours with no other illness symptoms. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE MEDICATION TO REDUCE FEVER AND SEND TO SCHOOL. Students love to share germs.   
3. No medication can be given at school without a signed Dr. form. 

If a student becomes sick at school protocol

1. Parent/Guardian will be notified to arrange immediate pick up of their student from school. 
2. If the Parent/Guardian cannot be reached Nurse Lisa, Lindsay or Terrie will start calling emergency contacts to pick up the student. 
3. Parent/Guardian or whomever is picking up the sick student must use intercom to the office when they arrive at the school to be buzzed into the school. Come to the office to check out your student.
