SUMMER SCHOOL 2012

   Asotin Jr.-Sr. High School is offering a summer school program for students who need credit retrieval and for junior high skill building.  A high school student can earn a semester (.5) credit by taking summer school.  Summer school will be graded on a pass/fail basis.  These courses are for make up only and will cost the student $100.  There is NO charge for junior high students.  There will be no refund of summer school tuition after attending the first full day of class.

   High School student can expect at least one hour per day of homework time outside of class time will be expected and required.  A requirement of a minimum number of hours must be met, both in class and homework time outside of class.  For this reason, attendance is based on hours, not days.  If a student misses a cumulative total of seven (7) hours, he or she will not receive credit.  Being late or wasting class time adds to the cumulative total of hours, so the student must work while in class, not just sit.

   Discipline will be important.  If a student is misbehaving or disrupting the learning process, he or she will be removed and that student will have to make arrangements to go home.  That missed time will count as absent time.
